Hiking on your active vacation in Gengenbach – The Kinzig Valley, Ortenau, Black Forest
How about starting off with the all-in-one favorite tour of our hotel director, Gerhard Hummel? Duration approx. 2-3 hours. He'll be happy to show you the route from the Skydeck: left through the gate, across the bridge, up to the "Jakobus" chapel on the little mountain with a view of the Rhine Plateau all the way to Strasbourg, on a trail through the vineyards to the Portiunkulla Chapel, then on to the "Teufelskanzlei" and through the woods, across the park landscape and back to the hotel. All in just one hike!
Or how about the Ortenau Wine Trail, the Black Forest Nature Park Trail or the Way of Saint James? Narrow paths or wide panorama trails: There's so much to choose from. Check out Gengenbach's hiking tips online (in German).
Are you a Nordic walking fan? Then head out to Gengenbach's Nordic Walking Park with 4 circuits. You can rent poles or book a course at the Kultur- und Tourismus GmbH in Gengenbach.
