- February: Alemannic "Fasend"
Dates back to 1499. Wit a "Hemdeglunker“, the awakening of the rogue in the Niggel Tower, the "Hexebesenstelle", parade on Fasend Sunday and teh "Schnurre & Schnaige" in the pubs. - June / Juliy Culture Summer (A top tip)

Nov. / Dec. / Jan.: Christmas market with the world's largest Advent Calendar (A top tipp)
The Gengenbach Town Hall is transformed into an Advent Calendar and major attraction. In the past years it has showcased paintings of artists like Marc Chagall, Tomi Ungerer, Otmar Alt and motifs from famous children's books. The Advent Calendar is displaying pictures of Andy Warhol in 2016.
November 30 - December 23, 2016, at 6pm: ritulistic window opening. The world's largest Advent Calendar can be viewed until Epiphany on January 6, 2017.
The Christmas market awaits you from November 26, - December 23 with 60 stalls right in the middle of the historic old town.
